Website monitoring for hotels

When the website is down in high season, guests book somewhere else. TideStat watches your site day and night, keeps it quick on phones and easy to find on Google, and sends the owner a plain report every month.

What matters most

A hotel website has a few jobs

Be there when guests look, load fast on a phone, show up on Google and make booking easy. These checks protect them.

Up in peak season

Checked every few minutes, all year. If the site goes down at 2am on a holiday weekend, you get an email, and another when it's back.

Every plan

Quick on a phone

Most guests look on their phone. TideStat measures speed in a test browser and from real Chrome visitors, and shows what slows it down.

Every plan

Found on Google

Titles, descriptions, broken links, pages Google can't read, and whether the hidden details Google reads about the hotel are there and valid.

Every plan

Pages that lead to booking

Broken links, redirect loops and pages that suddenly look different after an update are caught and listed.

Every plan

Confirmations that reach guests

SPF, DMARC and DKIM checked daily, so confirmations and offers land in the inbox, not in spam.

Paid plans

A clean reputation

A daily check that the domain isn't on Google's unsafe-sites list or the Spamhaus blocklist, either of which can scare guests away.

Every plan

Ahead of the hotel down the road

See how guests find you

Connect Google Search Console to see how often the hotel is seen and clicked on Google, and track the searches that bring bookings, such as “boutique hotel in your town”.

  • Up to 5 competing hotels compared on speed, search and uptime (Business plan)
  • Guest privacy: tracking cookies and pixels that fire before anyone agrees, flagged weekly
  • Search Growth: a 90-day plan for the rooms and offers pages closest to page 1
Tracked searches grouped by site, each with its position, change and whether Google's AI answer mentions the site

For the owner or general manager

A monthly report anyone can read

How often the site was up, how fast it was, what was fixed and what's next. No jargon, no wall of numbers: something to read over coffee.

  • Emailed every month as a PDF, with your logo
  • A public status page you can share if the site ever has a bad day
Cover page of a monthly website report: site name, period, overall health, search score and uptime

Which plan?

One hotel, a group, or an agency

Hotel questions

Which plan suits one hotel?

The Business plan: one website, uptime checked every 5 minutes, a monthly report, and comparison with up to 5 competing hotels. A group adds each property to the same plan, and each general manager can see only their hotel. An agency looking after hotels fits an agency plan better.

Does TideStat check our booking engine?

TideStat checks the pages on your own website and domain. If your booking engine runs on another company's website, that company looks after its uptime; TideStat still checks the pages that lead guests to it.

Will the checks slow the site down for guests?

No. TideStat reads public pages the way a search engine does, at a gentle pace, and nothing has to be installed on the site.

Do you check reviews on TripAdvisor or Google?

Not yet: Google review alerts are coming soon. TripAdvisor isn’t planned, as it doesn’t offer the access we would need. Today, “reputation” means your domain staying off blacklists and your email reaching guests’ inboxes.

Our web agency built our site. Can they use TideStat for us?

Yes. Many agencies run TideStat for all their clients and send each one the monthly report. Your agency can give you a read-only login to see your own site.
